Board Actions

The board of education on Jan. 11:

  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s Human Resources program; view the presentation or read the report;
  • Approved paying $780,421 for regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for the month of December 2021;
  • Approved paying $336,911.75 for purchases made on the district's purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of nearly 1% (or $3,369.12);
  • Approved a proclamation declaring Feb. 7 through 11 as School Counseling Week in the Pattonville School District;
  • Approved the 2022 legislative platform for the Pattonville School District;
  • Lodged for action revisions to Policy BBB (School Board Elections); a vote is expected during the Feb. 8 board meeting;
  • Approved, as lodged for action on Dec. 14, revisions to Policy CDQF-R (Separation Incentive Plan (SIP));
  • Approved calendars for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years; 
  • Approved Pattonville’s COVID-19 safety plan and procedures;
  • Approved the purchase of six replacement laptops from Apple, Inc. for $11,648;
  • Approved the emergency purchase for various-sized paper plates for food services from Dutch Hollow Supplies for $45,244.05;
  • Approved the purchase of stage furniture for the high school from Wenger Corporation for $24,040.60;
  • Approved the contract with The Core Collaborative for $25,547.50 for June 15 through 17 professional development on rigorous PBL (project-based learning) design; and
  • Approved the renewal of the district's property and liability insurance which includes general liability, buses, school board liability, workers' compensation, treasurer's bond, cyber and pollution liability as well as a $5 million umbrella coverage with MUSIC (Missouri United School Insurance Council) for $1,150,611.

  • Steve Vargo, principal of Rose Acres Elementary School, effective at the end of the 2021-2022 school year after serving Pattonville for 13 years
