Board Actions

The board of education on April 13:

  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s alternative education program; read the evaluation or view the presentation;
  • Reviewed and accepted an evaluation of the district’s special education program; read the evaluation or view the presentation;
  • Approved paying $517,744.38 in regular bills;
  • Approved, subject to audit, the financial statements for the month of March 2021;
  • Approved paying $259,283.40 for purchases made on Pattonville’s purchasing cards, which earned the district a rebate of nearly 1% (or $2,385.41);
  • Declared a list of textbooks as surplus and authorized they be sold through a public bid process;
  • Approved adjustments to the 2021-2022 district school year calendar;
  • Lodged for action revisions to Policy IGBCA (Program for Homeless Students); a vote is expected at the May 11 board meeting;
  • Approved paying $1,434 to Tueth, Keeney, Cooper, Mohan & Jackstadt, P.C. for legal services;
  • Approved proclamations declaring May 1 as Principals Day and May 12 as School Nurse Day in Pattonville;
  • Approved paying $35,353.91 to EducationPlus, care of CI Select, to purchase and install furniture at Holman Middle School and the student services office at the Pattonville Learning Center;
  • Awarded a bid for maintenance of the pool at Pattonville High School to Westport Pools for $16,788;
  • Approved the renewal an agreement with Spectrum Lawn and Tree Care for turf maintenance for $48,600;
  • Awarded a bid for paint and paint supplies to PPG Architectural Finishes for $11,561.58;
  • Approved the renewal of the annual subscription of the online tool from SeeSaw for $15,592.50;
  • Approved the proposal for the Math314 collaborative partnership with the Institute for School Partnership at Washington University in St. Louis for the 2021-2022 academic year for $49,400;
  • Awarded a bid for installing playground chips and district-wide ground mulch to Express Mulch Company for $27,950;
  • Approved a contract with Andrew Easton for personalized learning professional development for high school teachers for $30,000;
  • Awarded a bid for tires, new and retread, and service requirements to Froesel Tire for $50,000;
  • Approved the purchase of a four-year lease for 680 MacBook Air laptops from Apple Inc. for $174,760; and
  • Approved the purchase of 600 laptop adapters and 600 USB port adapters from OWC for $42,876.12.

  • Jacqueline Ditmeyer, clerk, high school, effective June 30 after serving Pattonville for 33 years
  • Beverly Harget, executive secretary, high school, effective June 30 after serving Pattonville for 28 years
  • Michael Oostendorp, physical education teacher, high school, effective at the end of the 2020-2021 school year after serving Pattonville for 10 years
  • Donna Sellers, executive secretary, high school, effective June 30 after serving Pattonville for 24 years
