Update from superintendent on PHS phase 1

Dear Pattonville families and staff,

Our transition to phase 1 (in-person five days a week) has been successful at early childhood through eighth grade and we are ready to move our Pattonville High School students to phase 1 on Monday, March 29.

As we move to phase 1 at PHS, it’s crucial for all of us to continue to follow the health and safety guidelines that have allowed us to reach this point. While we can manage health and safety measures at school, it’s also important for all of us to demonstrate personal responsibility when in the community. Large student gatherings outside of school in other communities have caused mass quarantines that have impacted schools, and we want to avoid this happening locally. We must remain diligent so we can continue with full-time in-person learning for the rest of the school year for those families who selected this option. The move to phase 1 does not impact students who are enrolled in the Villemade Virtual Academy. Villemade students will remain 100% virtual for the remainder of the school year.

This has been a challenging school year, but one with many successes. I’m proud of the way our students, staff and families have worked together over the last year to support our students and each other. I’m confident we’ll finish the school year strong. I look forward to seeing our in-person PHS students five days a week starting on Monday, March 29.

Sincerely,

Tim Pecoraro, Ed.D.

Superintendent
