As part of the First Grade global citizenship unit, the grade level held a coin competition to raise money for the Red Cross.  The students raised over $900 last month to help hurricane victims in Florida and Texas.

Students have to be re-enrolled in the Parent Portal account to be on a class list. Parents of students who attended Parkwood last year (2016-2017) and still currently live in the district will re-enroll online by logging into your Parent Portal account with the username and password you have created. You will be asked to read and follow the directions carefully as you verify the information currently on file for your student. Once you have completed the information update, you must click on “Submit” and “Exit.”

Mrs. Castile had a publishing party for her Kindergarten students and guests to celebrate the publishing of their very first book.  Each student walked down the "red carpet" to Mrs. Castile and read his or her page from the book that explained their favorite part of Kindergarten.  The families were given the choice to purchase a book as a keepsake.
